The Lake Poets is the project of North East based singer songwriter Marty Longstaff. In 2018 the singer songwriter became an unexpected contender for the UK Christmas Number 1 spot after ‘Shipyards’, a moving ode to his hometown of Sunderland and his late grandfather, was featured as the theme song for Netflix docu-series ‘Sunderland Til I Die’.
As The Lake Poets, Longstaff is a testament to the many industrious and talented musicians who call the North East Home.
