WHAT IS HIT THE NORTH?
Hit The North is the North East's largest inner-city new music festival featuring over 140 artists from across the world.
WHERE IS THE FESTIVAL?
Hit The North 2020 will take place across multiple venues of varying sizes across Newcastle City Centre.
WHEN IS HIT THE NORTH HAPPENING?
Bank Holiday Weekend, Sunday 18th October 2020. Doors open at 1PM.
HOW OLD DO I NEED TO BE TO ATTEND THE FESTIVAL?
The festival is a 14+ event, excluding The Cut, Head Of Steam and Billy Bootleggers which are 18+ venues. ID checks will be carried out at wristband exchange and in venues.
HOW CAN I GET TO HIT THE NORTH?
Hit The North is located within Newcastle’s city centre, easily accessible via car, train, bus or national coach service.
All attendees will need to attend the Wristband Exchange before heading to any venues.
We encourage the use of public transport when travelling to the city centre to reduce our carbon footprint:
The nearest metro stations are Monument & Central Station - both stations are within walking distance of all venues.
Public Transport prices:
Metro ticket from Sunderland - £5.20 day ticket
Metro ticket from Whitley Bay/ The Coast - £5.20 day ticket
Arriva bus service - as little as 90p (student discount with valid ID)
If you are travelling via train, Newcastle Central Station is within short walking distance to all venues:
ie. Newcastle Train Station/Central Station Metro to the O2 Academy is a 4 minute walk.
WHERE CAN I PARK?
Newcastle City Centre has multiple multi-storey car parks available to provide ample parking for festival goers.

BOX OFFICE & WRISTBAND EXCHANGE

You can exchange your ticket for a festival wristband that will act as your right of entry to our Hit The North venues across the city.

The Box Office and Wristband Exchange will be located at Boiler Shop (20 South St, Newcastle upon Tyne NE1 3PE) and will be open from 11am on Sunday, May 5th.
ACCESS CUSTOMERS
Hit The North provide a free companion ticket for disabled customers. Please book your Hit The North 2019 ticket via any of our official ticket outlets, and then email info@ssdconcerts.co.uk with proof of ticket purchase and details of your access requirements, and we’ll arrange a complimentary companion ticket.

TERMS & CONDITIONS

Tickets for Hit The North 2020’s all day event on Sunday 18th October 2020 must be exchanged for a festival wristband.

There will be no admittance to venues without a wristband.

Tickets are to be exchanged for a wristband at our exchange point on Sunday 5th May 2019.

The ticket holder must be present at the wristband exchange point. Under no circumstances can you collect wristbands on behalf of other ticket holders, as the wristband can only be fitted by Hit The North staff.

Please arrive at the wristband exchange allowing plenty of time to collect a wristband before performances begin.

Please note that some acts will be very popular, we advise you arrive at venues in good time to avoid disappointment.

Wristbands allow entry to each of the participating venues, individual venue capacities permitting. If the venue is already full you will not be allowed to enter.

The advertised line-up may be subject to change. No refunds will be issued unless the entire event is cancelled.

Tickets cannot be transferred, exchanged, refunded or returned unless the event is cancelled.

In order to facilitate the security, safety and comfort of all guests, all venues reserve the right to refused admission.

Admission is at the ticket holder’s risk. The promoter and the individual venues shall not be held liable for any loss, injury or damage sustained with their premises.

The event age restriction is 14+, subject to venue age restrictions. Management reserve the right to check ID.

Please note that there will be filming and photography taking place at this event and by purchasing a ticket you are giving consent for the use of this footage.
